I found Breathwork in 1995 when I was in therapy for a very traumatic childhood, and I realized that one session has as much an effect on me as 2-3 months' worth of therapy. I've done at least 3-4 Breathworks per year since then. It has played a HUGE role in allowing me to get over my issues and find happiness in my life, work, relationships, and spirituality. I have done a two-year training in facilitating it under James Frazier, one of Stan Grof's first facilitators, and I now want to help others get as much benefit from it as I have. I'm profoundly grateful for all it has done in my life!
I'm a retired physician who's worked in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Clinicial Research, Integrative Medicine, Fibromyalgia, Addiction Medicine, and Pain Management.
In the early 2000s, I created a fibromyalgia clinic that grew to become one of the most respected in the nation. I published a book for fibromyalgia sufferers ("The Everything Guide to Fibromyalgia"), did clinical research, and became a nationwide speaker on medications to help the condition.
Later, I became a national-level expert in how to treat pain without creating addiction and was one of the key people in Wisconsin fighting against over-prescribing of opioids.
I've done graduate training in Transpersonal Psychology and have completed two apprenticeships in Peruvian Shamanism. For 6 years, I co-facilitated a gay men's shamanic group to help them get over the trauma of growing up gay in a homophobic society (I was the token hetero!).

I have a wide variety of interests, many of which I bring into role as a Breathwork facilitator.

I've been practicing Zen for over 30 years.
I love hiking and being outdoors.
There are so many lessons to
learn from nature!
I did graduate work in Transpersonal Psychology, the psychology of spirituality and higher states of consciousness. This is the key to why Breathworks is effective.
