Doug Godley grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Wake Forest University, with a degree in Chemistry. He worked for one year as a Chemist for Diamond Shamrock. Doug then got his real estate license and started his business career. Doug’s grandfather, M.R.,“Chick”, Godley was his business mentor.

Doug and his brother, Ken, had an idea for a family entertainment park and then dove into their first development project by spearheading the design, financing and construction of Frankie’s Fun Park in North Charleston, SC in July, 1990. Doug and Ken’s partners in this first Frankie’s venture
